Susan Straker Named Insurance Woman of the Year by LAAIA
 HOLLYWOOD, FL., DECEMBER 2, 2005: The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies (LAAIA) named Susan Straker their Insurance Woman of the Year for 2005. Straker, President of Hollywood, Florida-based Coral Insurance Company, received the honor during the Association’s Holiday Dinner Gala on December 2, 2005.
Members of the Association were asked to submit their nominating ballots, with the nominees name and brief description of why that person should receive the award. Winners were selected by The Board of Directors based on the individuals’ contribution to the betterment of the insurance industry. They did not have to be members of the Association.
“I am elated to be named as the Insurance Woman of the Year by the LAAIA.” Said Straker. “Since we began operating in Early 2004, we have been hit with unprecedented weather and I am proud to say we have weathered the storms successfully, thanks in large part to the exceptional partnerships we have formed with our agents in the LAAIA.”
